- The Township will be amending the Georgian Bay shoreline blasting by-law to include inland lakes after a serious concern on Gloucester Pool.
- Renovations, including new washrooms and repairs to the roof and block siding, will occur at the Baxter Community Centre.
- Construction this fall was approved for Linton’s Road, Pratt’s Road, Honey Harbour Road (including the long await sidewalk).

- Norm Miller, MPP for Parry Sound-Muskoka, is holding a meeting this week on the serious camping concerns at Pretty Channel, on Gloucester Pool. The meeting will include MNR, Trent-Severn Waterway, OPP, Severn River Association of Property Owners, and the Township.
- Councillors are in the final review of the draft Noise By-Law and Animal Control By-Law. Contact the Township Office if you wish to comment.
- Council has asked the Planning Department to proceed with 5 new By-Laws resulting from the June Planning Workshop – dock lengths for Georgian Bay (20 metres), restrict the expansion of legal non-conforming dwellings (cottages close to the shoreline) to 20%, restrict the height of dwellings on Georgian Bay, north of Honey Harbour, to 7 metres, increase lot coverage on the Trent-Severn Waterway from 7% to 10%., restrict gross floor area on Georgian Bay properties, north of Honey Harbour, to 3,000 sq. ft.
- If your boathouse has a second story, get ready to pay the MNR rent in 2006 – 6% of market value.
- The District has narrowed down their search for a new long term dump site. They will be expanding one of the existing sites which are all around the 3 big towns.
