  • The Pesticide and Fertilizer By-law has been revised to allow for the use of compost and mulch and it does not pertain to potted plants and vegetable gardens. The by-law now only applies to water front properties and comes into force September 1, 2006.
  • Dave Fremstad is our new summer By-law Enforcement Officer.
  • The property owner of the 4 backlots on Six Mile Lake will be informed of the concerns both the Township and Wye Marsh have regarding for the pair of nesting Trumpeter Swans.
  • Council was briefed on a proposed 27 lot subdivision on Stewart Lake in MacTier. Most lots will be on water and sewer.
  • The Township will provide various forms of assistance for the 1st Annual Jazz Festival in Honey Harbour on August 19th sponsored by the Honey Harbour Community Co-Operative. Mark your calendar for this fun day.
  • The Fire and Public Works Departments have moved into their new building. The old fire hall and cottage will be removed shortly and the area around the new Township Office will be paved and landscaped. Furniture will arrive over the next month. Moving day should be late July with a public open house in August.
