In a press release today, Georgian Bay Township and Georgian Bay Fire Department has announced a total fire ban.

“In order to ensure public safety and the well-being of all who support our safety during the #COVID_19 outbreak, the Township of Georgian Bay Fire Department will also implement a Total Fire Ban until further notice. This is for all of Ontario and is a Provincial decision. This means absolutely no fires, even for cooking, heat, burning of grass or debris, campfires, even when using an outdoor fire grate, fireplace of fire pit. NO FIRES.”
