• The District of Muskoka has received a report from the Finance department regarding the best way to manage the debt for the Sewer & Water infrastructure in Muskoka. It is a complex document (available at www.muskoka.on.ca) and deserves a slow and concentrated read. This issue will be debated at the Committee of the Whole at DMM on August 15th, starting at 10:00 am.
• I was advised at the AGM of the Six Mile Lake Cottagers Association that the MNR will be holding a Public Meeting regarding the logging proposals for the northern area of East Crooked Bay, on July 19th at the Baxter Ward Community Centre.
• Council will be taking a break this summer, so the Council meeting of July 28th has been cancelled, and the August 18th meeting has been moved to Tuesday the 19th.
