Lucky are we to have a piece of a clean, fresh and abundant resource like 6 Mile Lake. The lake seems so vast that it is easy to take for granted and let our human impact erode the health of a most precious place.

Our very own past president, Paul Wiancko, authored the recently released inland lake 5 year water quality report card. He has done a great job of outlining the process of water quality testing and making the results legible.

I urge you to read it and discuss the findings the next time you are standing on a dock and enjoying the ripple of the lake.
