Victoria Evans from Georgian Bay Islands National Park is bringing Pineapple the endangered eastern fox snake to visit Six Mile Lake.
Victoria will present lots of great information about reptiles in the Georgian Bay area. There are more reptiles in the Georgian Bay area than anywhere else in Canada. Most of them are species at risk of extinction. There 8 turtles in our area six are listed at risk. We are so fortunate to share space with these special creatures. Learn about Ontario’s only venomous snake, the threatened massasauga rattlesnake and the harmless, threatened hog-nosed snake who loves to roll over and play dead after standing up and puffing his neck out like a cobra….which it is not!
