  • the 2014-2018 Council was inaugurated on Dec. 1, 2014
  • the existing Committee of Adjustment (COA) will continue until Feb. 27, 2015 or the establishment of an updated committee. Cynthia Douglas will replace Louise Rivett.
  • myself and Councillors Cooper and Douglas will formulate the new COA with up to 5 public members (plus Councillors Cooper and Douglas) by the end of Feb. The request for public members will go out shortly
  • Portfolio/Committee assignments:

    • Northern Policing – Councillors Douglas/Wiancko

  • the Consultant’s report on effluent from the railway yard and downtown core via the southern wetlands of MacTier indicated that emission levels were well within Prov. levels and pose no impact to Stewart Lake.
  • rental of office space for the OPP in MacTier was deferred for more information.
  • the remaining Hwy 400 resurfacing around the Crooked Bay and South Gibson Lake Roads will be completed in 2015.
  • Council approved its meeting schedule for every 2nd Monday and Tuesday each month
