Pretty quiet meeting:

• Township will install a few anti-idling signs around Township offices, Honey Harbour, Port Severn, MacTier and schools.
• Mark your calendars for August 13, 2011 for the 3rd Annual District “Amazing Race” to be held this year in the Township of Georgian Bay. The race is based on the TV series.
• A Property Standards Committee is being formed (1 councillor and 2 members from the public). The Township will be ramping up enforcement this year and this committee will adjudicate any property owner concerns.
• New docks and their reconfiguration for the Blue Water Road commercial property on Church Bay, Honey Harbour was discussed in length. Council requested a site visit and final public input. Dockage is going from 65 to 90 slips.
• If District can knock $900K off its proposed 2011 budget, their portion of our tax bill (35%) will be < 1%. If not it will be approx. 2.5%. The Township will be spending March 8-10 discussing our budget (another 25%).
