In case you missed our May 27th email campaign, here it is!
SMLCA Annual General Meeting
Our AGM takes place Saturday June 22 starting at 10:00 am at the Baxter Ward Community Centre in Port Severn.
This year our guest speaker is from the Severn Sound Environmental Association who will be available to help you identify Eurasian Milfoil. You can bring a sample of the plants near your dock in a plastic bag for identification.
Doors will open at 9:00 am for registration. Members who have already paid their membership dues as well as those who pay their dues on-site will be given a voting card. Proof of property ownership may be required (e.g. Tax Statement). Only one vote is available per property and it is the responsibility of properties with multiple owners to decide who gets the voting card.
If you are unable to attend the SMLCA AGM and still wish to vote, you may send a Proxy in your place along with a Proxy Form. The Proxy Form is valid for the AGM only and is available for download on our website here: 2019 AGM Proxy Form
Registered Property Owners can also assign their Membership – and all their Membership privileges – to a non-property owner designate by filling in a Membership Designation Form. This form remains valid until the SMLCA receives a request in writing to change this status back to the Property Owner or until another designate form is received. You can download the Membership Designation Form from our website here: 2019 Membership Designation Form

Annual Regatta, Fireworks Show, and Golf Tournament
Our Annual Regatta and Fireworks show are set to take place Saturday August 3rd and the Golf Tournament is Tuesday August 6th. Please note that these events may be postponed due to the weather. We will keep everyone informed as we get closer to the dates.

Sponsors will be recognized at the Regatta and Golf Tournament as well as through the Echoes newsletter. If you are able to donate a prize, please email: info@sixmilelake.net.

Fire Pump training
Fire Pump Training will occur July 6 at 10:00 am at the cottage of Chris Huddart H073 Hungry Island.
Trails Committee
The SMLCA has developed a Trails Committee that will map, describe and create a website that shows all the walking/hiking trails, mountain bike trails and canoe/kayak routes around Six Mile Lake. If you would like to share your favourite trails/routes with us, or work with the committee to map and describe these trails, then please contact us at info@sixmilelake.net.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.
