The Waste Cost Review Committee within the Township of Georgian Bay and the Commissioner of Public Works for the District of Muskoka have completed their work and have summarized it and their recommendations in a report entitled Waste Management in the Township of Georgian Bay.

The Waste Cost Review Committee will be holding two Public Information Sessions, at the Baxter Township Community Centre, to review the recommendations with the public. The first meeting will be held April 5th And the second will be held July 12th.

The Six Mile Lake Cottagers Association has reviewed the report as well as the minutes of the Waste Cost Committee and has developed a series of questions and comments that require further clarification by the District and the Township.

This review was forwarded to the Township on March 24th in order to facilitate its discussion at the upcoming public information sessions.
