The following information comes from Hydro One via Mayor Braid and Councillour Wiancko.

Customers in the vicinity of Six Mile Lake will likely be without power until Monday afternoon. Restoration efforts have been challenging, and access to equipment that requires repairs is difficult because of trees that have fallen.

We will have every available crew out tomorrow morning to work on clearing trees and installing new poles. Many of these poles will need to be flown in by helicopter because of restricted access.

Hydro One has a a detailed map of the power outages in province at Hydro One Storm Centre.

If you haven’t seen the any information on the storm, CTV Barrie has a story at Storm Damage on Six Mile Lake.

Please exercise caution and be safe when you are cleaning up.
